Crucial P1 Solid State Drive Overview
The Crucial P1 is your typical M.2 2280 (80 mm) solid state drive. This drive itself makes use of Micron 64L 3D QLC NAND teamed with the Silicon Motion SM2263 controller.
There are a total of four chips on this drive. You have the larger controller, the two NAND chips, and a Micron DDR3 cache chip. The the 1TB version you have 1GB of cache. The drive does not have a heatspreader, but Crucial has included Adaptive Thermal protection which basically means the P1 will operate without overheating.
The drive is single-sided so you won’t find anything on the back of the drive.
