Cyberpunk 2077 is Turning Out to Be a Headache For Console Gamers

Cyberpunk 2077 was launched recently, but unfortunately, current-gen console players are experiencing many issues: like FPS drop and glitches; in short, it is impossible to play the game on older consoles; Xbox, or PS4. CD Projekt Red recently posted a letter of apology and suggested that players should opt for a refund.

Easier said than done; a few days after the letter was posted, numerous customers reported that their refunds are being rejected. This may be due to the rule that you are only eligible for a refund on your digital purchases if you can prove that it’s faulty (not starting at all), but a glitchy game doesn’t qualify, and that too when the developer has promised to release patches to fix the issues.

Moreover, in a new investors call, CD Projekt Red clarified the refund situation somewhat. Starting with the CEO Marcin Iwinski, who just tried to convince players not to refund the game.

“We are not encouraging gamers to return to the game. We hope they will give us a chance to improve the game on the original consoles. There was one fix last weekend. Another is coming in seven days. But there is [the refund] option.”

On the other hand, SVP of business development, Michal Nowakowski, explained that concerning the policies of Sony and Microsoft, the company letter portrayed an image of CKD receiving special treatment from Sony and Microsoft, but this is not true.
