Der8auer Hartung Buys Intel Visual Compute Accelerator (VCA) 2 On eBay

Roman Der8auer Hartung managed to buy Intel Visual Compute Accelerator (VCA) 2 through eBay.

The Intel VCA2 is specifically designed for cloud computing and appears to feature a very sophisticated design. The device can be paired remotely on Windows as well as Linux. Since it can connect directly to the device, it has been developed keeping costs in mind. It will lower the overall cost for businesses which will allow more than one user to use the card whether it’s for gaming or working remotely.

The VCA2 was released back in 2016 and was discontinued soon after. It has integrated Iris Pro P580 graphics which assists in the QuickSync video acceleration. The device can support 44 streams at a resolution of 1080p or 14 streams simultaneously at 4k. This has been made possible with the help of three quad-core Xeon E-1585L v5 processors which are featured on the board. These processors are based on the Skylake architecture. Each one of these processors comes with its own memory bank which provides up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory.

Der8auer is already making some progress to show the device in the system, but he is still unable to find the full software solution to utilize the device.
