Usage & Final Thoughts

I’ve been using the EPOMAKER x AULA F65 for the past few weeks and I’ve really enjoyed it. The first thing that really caught my attention was the sound profile. For a sub-$50 keyboard it sounds quite good! Check out the sound test below…

If you are looking for that very satisfying thock sound this keyboard definitely has it! It makes using the keyboard, especially when typing extremely enjoyable. In my opinion this keyboard has a better sound profile that many other more expensive keyboard that I’ve used in the past.

Beyond the sound this keyboard is quite comfortable too. I had no problem “getting in the zone” when writing reviews, e-mails, and much more. While this is more of a typing keyboard in my opinion, it can easily be used as a gaming keyboard too. The LEOBOG Reaper mechanical key switches are very responsive and feel great. There really is not much to complain about when it comes to the typing or gaming experience of this keyboard. Also if you wanted to swap the switches out later down the line the keyboard is hot-swappable.

This is a tri-mode keyboard, so you can use it wired, wireless via the 2.4 GHz dongle, or wireless via Bluetooth. I tested all three different connection methods and had no issues with the keyboard at all. I would however opt to use the keyboard wired or using the 2.4 GHz dongle if you are gaming. It is also nice that there is a spot to hold the 2.4 GHz dongle when you are not using it. It makes it perfect for taking this keyboard to a friends house or LAN event.

Now being in this price-range there are going to be some sacrifices. First the chassis of the keyboard is plastic. While it feels solid, it is not going to feel as premium as something like aluminum. The software is extremely basic, which you sort of expect from a keyboard like this. Also there are only two different colorways to choose from.

At the end of the day you really can’t complain that much as this keyboard is currently $47.99 at our favorite online retailer! Overall ThinkComputers gives the EPOMAKER x AULA F65 Keyboard a 9 out of 10 score and our Good Value Award!
