Lighting & Software
The TORQ X5 has LED bar on each side and the actual EVGA logo lights up. There are a total of seven different LED colors to choose from, which we have taken photos of below.
EVGA offers their “Unleash” software free to download so you can customize your mouse. The main page will show your your mouse DPI level, sensitivity, lighting and brightness control and give you a full run-down of button assignments. Of course you can change these assignments if you like. You will also notice two hands on the mouse overview. This is to set if you are using the mouse in your left or right hand.
The next tab over is the advanced settings. This is tab is separated into three sub-tabs. The first is DPI settings. Here you can set the DPI levels and polling rate for the four preset DPI settings.
Next is the OS sub-tab. Here you can turn angle snapping on or off, mouse acceleration on or off, set the light height, run surface calibration, set the sensitivity, scroll speed and double click speed and you can run a speed button test.
The final sub-tab in the advanced settings is LED. Here you can set the LED mode to always on, always off or breathing. There are seven different LED colors to choose from and you can set the brightness level for each.
The next main tab is Macro. Here you can record your macros and save them to the mouse, but also your hard drive as well.
Finally the last tab is profile management which allows you to change the profile names and assign specific applications to those profiles. What that means is when that program / game is launched the profile on the mouse will automatically change, which is very convenient.
