Content creation like game streaming, podcasting, and other forms like YouTube videos continue to be a popular way to express your creative talents. One brand that is offering multiple items to help out in this segment is FIFINE. I’ve used some of FIFINE’s microphones when setting up whole-room audio solutions, so I was at least aware of the brand and some of their offerings. Today we are looking at a microphone aimed towards the gaming content segment, the AmpliGame AM8. The AM8 offers multiple connectivity options, as well as some of the more common control functions that we have come to lover over the years. Follow along as we take a closer look at the FIFINE AmpliGame AM8 RGB USB/XLR dynamic microphone.
The AM8 comes packaged in a standard retail box that features a prominent image of the microphone on the front of the box, along with a bit of information regarding the dual audio connections – USB Type-C and XLR.
The back of the box shows two more images of the microphone, and lists off some of the features found on the AM8.
Included with the AM8 is a USB Type-A to Type-C cable for connecting the microphone to your device of choice. FIFINE mentions that they see the Type-C connection as the initial option for folks wanting to use this microphone, but that they have also provided an XLR option for more advanced use case scenarios, thus no XLR cable is included. I think this makes sense from a cost perspective, as well as a functionality one, as the USB connection is still required in order to utilize the RGB lighting on the microphone body.
