As I mentioned at the start, improving your content’s audio can make a world of difference. You don’t even have to go with a top-of-the-line XLR setup with all sorts of fancy components – just get something better than the built-in microphone on your device. And that is exactly what the FiFine M8 Dual Wireless microphone set is designed to do – give you improved audio in a wireless setup that is simple to use. As far as features go, this is where some may say the M9 is lacking, and I have to agree. There is no EQ adjustment, no internal recording, no safety track, or anything like that. However, the features that are included are the ones that most folks are going to be concerned with. You’ve got a mute for each microphone, optional noise cancellation, channel volume, included windscreens, and again, that foolproof automatic pairing. Add in the 1200mAh capacity battery in the charging case, and you can get a whole day’s worth of work in without having much downtime. Now, speaking of the noise cancellation – I am not a fan of this feature at all on the M9. It adds a terrible tinny and robotic sound to the recordings, and in my opinion should not be utilized at all. Turning off noise cancellation does increase the audio quality of the M9, improving the sound significantly compared to an integrated microphone. It is still a ways off from the quality of a high-end wired microphone, but overall I’m satisfied with the quality of the audio this kit brings to the table. Now that being said, if you need a very affordable wireless microphone set, this may check all of your boxes.
There are a lot of great wireless microphone options out there from many other companies, and sure, some folks will need the feature sets that they come with. But the FiFine M9 is a good option for creators that need a wireless microphone system that is easy to use and doesn’t break the bank or your will power by being overly complex.
