With the launch of AMD’s Ryzen 2000 processors right around the corner more photos of upcoming X470 motherboards are being leaked to the web. Today we have MSI’s upcoming X470 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard. Taking a look at the board it looks very much like the previous X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, so you have the black and silver theme.
The heatsinks have a new design and and look pretty awesome. Another addition is RGB lighting on the I/O shroud, PCH heatsink, and right edge of the motherboard. You are also getting two 8-pin EPS connectors compared to the single one on the X370 version of the board.
The board makes use of an 8+4 power phase design. It does however have one less PCIe x1 slot than the previous board, but does give you two more SATA III ports. There are two M.2 slots, the top one does have the M.2 shield, which will keep your M.2 SSD nice and cool.
The memory slots and two main PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots have armor on them as well.
