FNATIC Clutch2 Overview
As I mentioned the Clutch2 is designed much like the Flick2, but is a right-handed mouse whereas the Flick2 is almost symmetrical. You still have that all black design with a white FNATIC logo on the palm rest.
Starting on the left side of the mouse we have two buttons, which by default are forward and back, but can of course be reprogrammed. The left side of the mouse also features a rubberized textured grip. Looking at the mouse from the left side we can see just how it is shaped.
Moving over to the other side of the mouse we just have the rubberized textured grip again, no buttons. FNATIC says this mouse will work for both palm and claw-grip users.
The other buttons you’ll find on the mouse are the main left and right buttons as well as a small profile switch button on the top of the mouse. Up there is also a rubberized mouse wheel. FNATIC is making use of OMRON switches on this mouse. FNATIC also tells us that this mouse has been drop tested, so you don’t have to worry about it exploding if it falls off your desk.
Flipping the mouse over we can see two very large mouse feet, which should allow the Clutch2 to glide effortlessly across your gaming surface. In the center you’ll find the PixArt 3360 optical sensor which is a 12,000 DPI sensor that offers customization in 100 DPI increments. It also allows you to select lift-off distance. Looking at the mouse from the bottom we can definitely see the right-handed design.
The Clutch2 comes with a 1.8m attached rubber cable, would have been nice to see a braided cable here. It does come with a cable-tie, which is great if you plan on taking this mouse with you to LAN events.
