FNATIC Clutch2 Gaming Mouse Review

FNATIC OP Software & Lighting
The Clutch2 will work out of the box without having to install anything, but if you really want full control over the mouse you are going to want to install FNATIC’s OP software. Once installed we are greeted by a screen that shows different FNATIC products, if you hover over the Clutch2 you’ll be given the option to customize.

When you click customize you are brought to a screen that shows you the mouse and allows you to see the device info (firmware version) and it will also show you which profile you currently have active. There are 3 built-in profiles for the Clutch2. The first tab up top is “Performance”. Here you can change the DPI, and angle snapping on and off, select the lift-off distance, and polling rate.

The Lighting tab is next, here you can adjust the lighting on the mouse. There are only Fade and Pulse effects available, but there is a Color Editor that allows you to choose colors as well.

The lighting on the mouse is very subtle and not over-done. You have lighting on the FNATIC logo on the left side of the mouse, on the mouse wheel, and there are white indication LEDs on the top of the mouse to show which profile you are on.

The last tab is key bindings where you can customize what the six available buttons do on the mouse. Each can be remapped to a different mouse button, set to a keyboard macro, launch an application, open a file, or open a link. Creating macros is quite easy too!
