Testing
Usually I do some overclocking before I go in to testing, but with Sandy Bridge 2133MHz is the highest supported memory. Keep in mind most high performance DDR3 is already overclocked DDR3-1600 memory. Our first test is the AIDA64 Cache & Memory Benchmark.
As you can see we have 4 results: Latency, Copy, Write and Read. Higher scores are better for Copy, Write and Read and lower scores are better for the Latency.
Now to start the Sandra tests we have the Memory Bandwidth benchmark. Higher scores are better here.
Now we have the Memory Latency benchmark. Lower scores are better here.
Finally we have the Cache & Memory benchmark.
There are 2 results here: Speed Factor and Bandwidth. Higher scores are better for the Bandwidth and lower scores are better for the Speed Factor.
