Storage companies are now focusing on advancing SSD technology by incorporating enhanced controllers and improved cooling solutions, aiming to deliver even faster performance. GALAX has introduced the HOF Extreme 50S as an upgrade over the previous year’s SSD models. This new SSD boasts improved read and write speeds, increasing from 10/9.5 GB/s to 12.4/11.8 GB/s. Additionally, the IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) has been elevated from 1500/1250 to 1500/1500, showcasing a 25% improvement in performance.

Based on reports from Chinese media, it has been revealed that this storage solution utilizes the same Phison controller, specifically the PS5026-E26, as its predecessor. Initially, the SSD will be made available with a capacity of 2TB, while plans for a 4TB version are also in place. However, there is no mention of a 1TB option. The launch of these SSDs is expected to happen in the near future, although both the pricing details and the exact release date have not been disclosed by the media or the company itself.
