Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming OC Pro 6G Graphics Card Review

Final Thoughts
Just like with any graphics card there are quite a few options to choose from, we’ve already taken a look at two other RTX 2060’s so what sets this card apart from the rest? Well first Gigabyte is using a custom PCB on this card with a 6+2 power phase design (compared to 4+2 reference). Then there is a the factory overclock up to 1830 MHz GPU boost (compared to 1680 MHz reference). This is going to give you a few more frames in games.

To keep that overclock in check you have Gigabyte’s WindForce 3X cooler. This cooler features three 80 mm fans, which actually spin in opposite directions for smoother airflow. These fans also feature a unique fan blade, which enhances airflow. The fans will stop spinning during idle operation, so you system will remain silent when you aren’t gaming. The four copper heatpipes make direct contact with the GPU to maximize heat transfer.

This card does feature RGB lighting, but it is not over-done. The Gigabyte logo on the side of the card lights up with RGB lighting and you can control it with RGB fusion. You can also tune the card using the AORUS Engine software, which works pretty well.

As I’ve said in my other RTX 2060 reviews I feel that the RTX 2060 is going to be the new every-day gamers card. It is powerful enough to allow you to game in 1440p at high settings or 1080p on a 144 Hz gaming monitor. Since this is a RTX card you are going to get ray tracing and DLSS, although we’ve seen the limitations of those two technologies in the past few weeks.

Right now this card is selling at $389.99 at our favorite online retailer, which is a $40 premium over the reference MSRP of $349. So for $40 you are getting a custom PCB with a 6+2 power phase design, factory overclock, custom cooling solution, and RGB lighting. Overall ThinkComputers gives the GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming OC Pro 6G Graphics Card a 9 out of 10 score.
