Gigabyte has published details of its upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards, including six models with different VRAM configurations, with a maximum capacity of 16 GB. These cards are part of the GeForce RTX 4070 series, and the available memory options for each model are 10 GB, 12 GB, or 16 GB. It is important to note that these GPUs belong to the non-Ti version of the GeForce RTX 4070, which is anticipated to be released in April.
It is possible that the six newly listed SKUs may not be included in the final release, as the previously canceled NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 12GB graphics card is still listed on the website. The graphics card list is part of a “game bundle giveaway” that started in January and is set to end at the conclusion of this month. Aside from the memory specifications, the only known information is that the company is potentially planning to launch a non-Ti version of the RTX 4070 graphics card in the near future.
The upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is projected to incorporate the AD104-250/251 GPU core, which will have 5888 CUDA cores and 12 GB GDDR6X VRAM with a clock speed of 21 Gbps. Additionally, it appears that three different PCB boards have been created for the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards.
Expected to launch in April 2023 for a price near $500 US, the NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics card is anticipated to have a 200W TGP, providing a 10% power reduction compared to its predecessor, which featured a 220W TGP. Another noteworthy aspect is that the GeForce RTX 4070’s core configuration is similar to that of the RTX 3070, as they both have 5888 cores, but the successor features the Ada GPU core, which should enhance performance and efficiency. Reportedly, the graphics card will have base and boost clock speeds of 1920 MHz and 2475 MHz, respectively, resulting in around 30 TFLOPs of compute power.
