GIGABYTE Unveils Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING OC 16G

Gigabyte has listed Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING OC 16GB on its website. Currently, it is the fastest Radeon Graphics card by Gigabyte as it is yet to confirm its plans for the AORUS Master series.

The RX 6900 XT Gaming OC features a triple-slot and triple-fan design which measures at 28.6 x 11.8 cm. As for the display configurations, the graphics card features a 2 DisplayPort 1.4a and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports.

Gigabyte hasn’t shared any details of the PCB design or the cooler internals yet, but apparently, the cooler features two large heat sinks along with a large copper plate that is attached to at least six copper heat pipes. As for the PCB, it features three 8-pin power connectors. The card also features dual-BIOS, but Gigabyte hasn’t specified the specifications yet.

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT features RDNA2-based 7nm Navi 21 XTX GPU . The GPU features 5120 Stream Processors along with 16GB GDDR6 RAM, which is clocked at 16 Gbps (512 GB/s). The GPU also features 128MB of AMD Infinity Cache.

GIgabyte has not given any information on the pricing or the availability yet, but the 6900 XT is expected to cost more than its official MSRP of $999 (USD).

With direct contact to the GPU and VRAM, the large copper plate combines the composite heat pipes to efficiently transfer heat generated from the interior cores to the heat sink.

The metal back plate not only provides an aesthetical shape, but also enhances the structure of the graphics card to provide complete protection.

Silent mode will provide a quieter experience. The mode switch requires a reboot to take effect. The default is OC mode.

The graphics card uses the better power phase design to allow the MOSFET to operate at lower temperature, and over-temperature protection design and load balancing for each MOSFET, plus the Ultra Durable certified chokes and capacitors, to provide excellent performance and longer system life.
