Gigabyte Z77X-UD4H Motherboard Review

Testing – Video
The next two pages of testing depend very highly on the video card you use.  In our case it is the Sapphire Radeon HD6950.  You also will not see a huge difference between stock results and the overclocked results.

Our first video test is 3DMark 11, it was run on both the Performance and Extreme settings.

Next is 3DMark Vantage, it was also ran on the both the Performance and High settings.

Our next benchmarking tool is the Heaven Demo v4.0. The Heaven Demo is based off the Unigine and is actually a DirectX 11 demo. The settings we used were 1920 x 1080 resolution, shaders: high, textures: high, filter: trilinear, Anisotrophy: 4x, antialiasing off.

Finally we finish out our video testing with the recently released 3DMark benchmark.  It has three tests in it, but we will be running the Fire Strike (high end) and Cloud Gate (mid range) benchmarks.

  1. Dude, you are killing your 3770K !
The voltage system of this board is by default set to AUTO, which means it increases automatically with the overclock.
What you wrote in the review “reached 5.0 without increase in voltage” is totally wrong and dangerous !

By going to 5.0Ghz you also increased the voltage to a monstrous 1.6V, I won’t expect that CPU to last at that voltage more than a week.
Look at the CPU-Z screenshot you took at 5.0 !!!

    My god!

Please correct your review, you are misleading people to try such insane overclocks which will burn their CPU in the process…

  2. you are right, same feelings about it. guess what should we think about so called “pro user’s” opinions which i belive autor of this review should be.
