Testing – Gaming
The Alien vs. Predator benchmark is our first game benchmark, it is a standalone benchmark. As with many of the already released DirectX 11 benchmarks, the Aliens vs. Predator DirectX 11 benchmark leverages your DirectX 11 hardware to provide an immersive game play experience through the use of DirectX 11 Tessellation and DirectX 11 Advanced Shadow features. In Alien vs. Predator, DirectX 11 Geometry Tessellation is applied in an effective manner to enhance and more accurately depict HR Giger’s famous Alien design. We ran the benchmark at high settings with at a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The Lost Planet 2 benchmark includes both DX9 and DX11 modes, we will of course be running the benchmark in DX11 mode. It includes two tests (A,B), we have decided to go with Test A. The primary purpose of Test A is to give an indication of typical game play performance of the PC running Lost Planet 2. (i.e. if you can run Mode A smoothly, the game will be playable at a similar condition). We ran the Lost Planet 2 Benchmark at all high settings at a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Battlefield 3 is probably the most popular PC game to come out in the past year and it really pushes video cards and gaming systems to the max! There is no official benchmarking tool for the game so we will be doing this one the old way with FRAPS. First we needed to pick a sequence to benchmark. We decided on the second mission where you get ambushed. To see the full sequence check out the video below.
So now we have the sequence set we can go ahead and benchmark it with FRAPS. We set the in-game settings to High and ran the sequence at a 1920 x 1080 resolution, here at the results.

Dude, you are killing your 3770K !
The voltage system of this board is by default set to AUTO, which means it increases automatically with the overclock.
What you wrote in the review “reached 5.0 without increase in voltage” is totally wrong and dangerous !
By going to 5.0Ghz you also increased the voltage to a monstrous 1.6V, I won’t expect that CPU to last at that voltage more than a week.
Look at the CPU-Z screenshot you took at 5.0 !!!
My god!
Please correct your review, you are misleading people to try such insane overclocks which will burn their CPU in the process…
you are right, same feelings about it. guess what should we think about so called “pro user’s” opinions which i belive autor of this review should be.
