Havit HV-TPC68 USB C Hub Review

Final Thoughts
Sadly it seems that USB hubs like the Havit HV-TPC68 are necessary with the way Ultrabooks are designed lately. For the most part we are only seeing one USB Type-A port on new Ultrabooks. That means you’ll need a hub like this to connect more than one Type-A device like a mouse, portable hard drive, headset, and more. So having three with this hub is definitely a plus.

For some reason it seems the card reader keeps disappearing from laptops and ultrabooks, which seems odd as many people using these devices are photographers and content creators. So you’ll likely need to get a card reader, but the Havit HV-TPC68 has you covered in that area too.

This hub also offers something many other do not have, which is HDMI out. Many Ultrabook and laptop users come home and connect their devices to larger screens. Havit makes it easy with the HDMI out port on this hub. Again HDMI out is something we are seeing less and less of on Ultrabooks.

Finally this hub supports power delivery. Typically USB-C ports are now being using for power as well, so if you want your laptop or Ultrabook connected to power you lose one of those ports. Not with this hub though, it has a Type-C connect that you can connect your power brick to and it powers your laptop!

It seems this hub really has everything, and to be honest I really could not find anything I did not like about it. It gives me 3 USB 3.0 ports, a card reader, HDMI port, and a Type-C power delivery port. If you have an Ultrabook with a Type-C connection then this is something that you should always have in your laptop bag.

Right now you can pick up the HV-TPC68 for $39.99 at our favorite online retailer. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Havit HV-TPC68 USB C Hub a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
