HP redesigned the Omen 15 in 2020 to a much simpler design. Moreover, it was also an important development in the notebook market as it housed the Ryzen 4000 series, which shows that HP trusted AMD and completely redesign a laptop for their processors.
The Ryzen 5000 utilizes the same socket and even has the same TDP requirements, which means HP only has to update the BIOS. This also means that the HP Omen 2021 will look identical to its predecessor as HP engineers believe that there is no reason to change something that works.
As per a leak from TechnikNews, the HP Omen 15 2021 will house up to Ryzen 7 5800H paired with the RTX 3060 Ti 6GB variant.
Reportedly, the pictured laptop has 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM with the highest RAM frequency the Cezanne APUs can support. It also has a 512GB NVMe SSD drive.
The 2020 HP Omen 15 model offered various combinations of 6-core Ryzen CPUs and the GTX graphics, which will most probably remain the same in the 2021 model.
In other news, Intel announced that its 11th Gen Core H-series will launch this quarter, so we can expect a refreshed Intel variant of the HP Omen 15 2021 too. Moreover, NVIDIA is preparing its RTX 3050 entry-level graphics, which will also be featured in the HP Omen.
