Iceberg Thermal IceSLEET G4 Midnight CPU Cooler Review

IceSLEET G4 Midnight CPU Cooler

The first thing I noticed about the IceSLEET G4 Midnight was that it was a much smaller cooler than most of the coolers we’ve been taking a look at. It has official dimensions of 81 (L) x 139 (W) x 156 (H) mm and weighs in at 733g. This is the “G4 Midnight” version of the cooler, which is all black. Iceberg Thermal also offers a “G4 OC” version of the cooler that is available in their signature teal as well as black. The G4 Midnight has a black painted heatsink and the fans blades are even black.

Talking about the included fan it is a Iceberg Thermal’s own IceGALE 120 mm fan. This fan operates between 600 – 1400 RPM with a max airflow of 58.5 CFM, max static pressure of 1.5 mm H2O, and max noise level of 22.5 dBA. The fan is pre-installed on a plastic mounting bracket, which makes it easy to remove and install on the cooler.

Looking at the cooler from the side we can see it is pretty thin. With the fan attached it is only 81 mm thick, which means you shouldn’t run into any clearance issues with memory or VRM cooling.

Looking at the back of the cooler we can see how the heatsink is designed and how the heatpipes go up into it.

The top of the cooler is capped with a plastic cap, this keeps the overall design of the cooler uniform.

There are 4 nickel-plated copper heatpipes that are direct-touch heatipes, meaning they will make direct contact with your CPU at the base of the cooler. The base of the cooler is quite thick and as you can see the thermal paste is pre-applied.
