Iceberg Thermal IceSLEET X7 Dual CPU Cooler Review

Iceberg Thermal IceSLEET X7 Dual Overview

The IceSLEET X7 Dual has a very interesting design. Iceberg Thermal seems to be keeping a theme as most of their products are named “Ice”, but with the IceSLEET X7 Dual they’ve taken the name to the design as the cooler itself looks like a big chunk of ice. Basically the two towers of the cooler are wrapped in a plastic shell. It definitely stands out!

At the front of the cooler you’ll find a 120mm RGB fan. This fan will spin between 500 – 1850 RPM, pushing 76 CFM of air with a static pressure of 2.8 mm H2O. For those wondering about the RGB, the cooler uses a 3-pin addressable RGB connection, no controller is included.

Looking at the cooler from the side we can see this is quite a large cooler. The official dimensions are 135 (L) x 150 (W) x 166 (H) mm so you are definitely going to want to keep that in mind if you have larger memory or a small case.

Moving around the back of the cooler we can get a better look at one of the heatsinks. We have a dense aluminum fin stack which has proper space between each fin for airflow.

At the top of the cooler you’ll find an Iceberg Thermal logo, which will light up with RGB lighting when you power your system on.

To get a better look at the center fan and second heatsink tower we need to disassemble the outer-shell of the cooler. To do this you remove the two side pieces and then you can pull top piece out removing the fan in the process. With everything removed we can see that the center fan is a larger 140 mm fan. This fan pin between 500 – 1600 RPM, pushing 96 CFM of air with a static pressure of 2.65 mm H2O. We can also see the true dual-tower design of the cooler.

Moving to the bottom of the cooler there are a whopping seven 6mm-thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes. These heatpipes start at the base of the cooler and go up into each heatsink tower.

The base of the cooler is also nickel-plated copper and has a mirror-like finish which means we’ll have good contact with our CPU.
