Installation & Testing
Since this is a completely tool-less enclosure installation is extremely easy. Take your drives and simply just slide them into the enclosure with the connections towards the top. In our case we are using two Samsung HD753LJ drives. We you go to put the drives in they will not go in all the way. You put them in as far as they can go then start closing the doors and they will slide completely in and lock into place.
There are many different modes you can set the enclosure in, but we have opted to test the drives in JBOD and RAID 0. Because of the original speed of the drives it is unlikely that we will see much difference in performance.
We used ATTO disk benchmark to test the speed of the enclosure using both USB 2.0 and eSATA connections. Again your speed will depend on the type of drive you install in the enclosure.
