Final Thoughts
I think that id America has really came out with a case that looks unlike any other iPhone case out there. The Gasket design is really unique and you do not see cases like this at all. You also do not see cases made of brushed aluminum. The brushed aluminum gives this case a really sleek look and adds to the overall protection. The Gasket case comes in 6 different colors, all of which look great.
Keep in mind this is more of a style case than a protection case. As I said it only protects the back of your iPhone. It does not wrap around to the front so even the edges of your iPhone a susceptible to damage.
During the week I used the Gasket case I noticed a drop in signal with my iPhone. I tested it in 5 different locations across the city and without the case my phone always had better reception. This is not a good thing, and if you get little to no service in some spots, based on our testing you won’t get service at all. I’m not sure what causes this, but I would have thought id America would have discovered this issue.
The Gasket case can be purchased directly from id America for $29.99, which is a great price for this stylish case. Because of the reception issue and limited protection I can only give this case is a 7 out of 10 score.
