While we’ve been hearing a lot about the Core i9-9900K, there are two other processors that Intel will be releasing in their 9th generation Core series which are the Core i7-9700K and Core i5-9600K processors. A video has been released showing the Core i5-9600K being benchmarked and overclocked to 5.2 GHz.
The chip was run on a MSI Z390 MEG Godlike motherboard with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a Silver Arrow Extreme cooler from Thermalright. There were no game benchmarks done, but Cinebench was run at the processors stock speed of 3.7 GHz and overclocked to 5.2 GHz. That overclock was achieved without any issues using the Thermalright Silver Arrow Extreme air cooler.
The results were 1034 points at the stock speed and 1207 point when overclocked.
