The Intel Core i9-9900KS was put up on Australian e-tailer MWave’s website. The listing prices the Intel Core i9-9900KS (SKU BX80684I99900KS) at AUD 899, which converts to $605 USD. The Core i9-9900KS is basically a highly-binned 8-core, 16-thread Core i9-9900K with a higher base clock of 4.0 GHz (up 400 MHz) and an all-core turbo boost of 5.0 GHz.
Earlier this week ASUS released a BIOS update note that mentioned the TDP of the i9-9900KS will be 127W. With this high of a TDP it makes you wonder just how long the chip will be able to handle the all-core 5.0 GHz boost speed. With the coming release of AMD’s 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X, the Core i9-9900KS will be defending Intel’s gaming performance crown.
