Intel has officially launched its Skylake NUC desktops. These of course are based on the company’s 6th generation Core “Skylake” processors. There are two main models, but each will have two choices of chassis design. The first is the NUC6i5SY, based on the Core i5-6260U processor.
The second will be the NUC6i3SY which is based on the i3-6100U processor.
The two variants for each model are based upon the chassis. You have the versions that has room inside for a 2.5-inch hard drive (NUC6i5SYH and NUC6i3SYH) and then the versions that just have room inside for a M.2 drive (NUC6i5SYK and NUC6i3SYK).
Intel will also be selling just the NUC boards for both, which will open things up for custom NUC cases.
