Testing
This is mainly a business laptop so we are doing most of our testing in Sisoftware’s Sandra 2009, but we also ran PCMark Vantage and finally did some HD video testing.
For our HD Video test we used the Tron Legacy trailer from Apple’s website and playback was done with QuickTime. We played the trailer in 480p, 720p, and 1080p, while the trailer was running we watched the playback and took note of the CPU usage. Here are the results…
480p – 15-25% CPU Usage
720p – 30-35% CPU Usage
1080p – 40-60% CPU Usage
