While many people think DDR4’s days are numbered that is just not the case as Intel’s next-generation Raptor Lake processors are still going to support DDR4. Lexar has recently introduced their new ARES RGB memory which is very much like their ARES DDR5, except this time we get some pretty sweet RGB lighting. Today we will be taking a look at the only kit Lexar is offering with this memory which is a 16GB (2x8GB) kit running at 4000 MHz with timings of 18-22-22 at 1.4V. Let’s take a look and see what this memory is all about.
The ARES RGB DDR4 memory come in Lexar’s standard packaging. On the front we have a picture of the memory and a sticker that lets us know the capacity and speed.
Flipping around to the back there is a some information on the memory and a list of specifications.
Opening the box up inside you’ll find the memory inside of a sort of clamshell package nicely protected.
