Lexar THOR OC DDR5-6000 32GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts

As we come to the end of this review I have to say that this is a very solid DDR5 memory kit. It has some of the tightest timings that we’ve seen for DDR5 (32-38-38-96) which allows it to perform better than many other DDR5-6000 kits we’ve tested and even better than faster memory. This is very impressive and on top of that this is out of the box performance as you get those timings by simply enabling either the XMP or EXPO profile on the kit.

This is a new DDR5 kit that does not feature RGB memory. So many like this, but others want their RGB goodness. I would expect Lexar to come out with an RGB version here in no time. Even though we don’t get RGB lighting this is for sure one very attractive memory kit with its black and gold design. A color design that actually will match up with ASUS’s ProArt components quite well. I also really like the triquetra elements on the heatspreaders, which definitely makes sense are these are called THOR.

When it came to overclocking we only were able to get another 400 MHz out of this kit it is default settings. This is understandable as the timings are quite tight for DDR5. You could loosen up the timings and get a little more out of this kit in terms of speed, but the performance gains would be negligible.

Right now you can pick this kit up at our favorite online retailer for $99.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Lexar THOR OC DDR5-6000 32GB Memory Kit a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
