Logitech Craft Wireless Keyboard Review

Logitech Craft Overview
The Logitech Craft definitely has a different style of design compared to other keyboards out there. It is actually separated into two main parts, you have the keyboard in a dark grey, and then a large top bar, which is silver. Right at the top center of the keyboard is a Logitech or “Logi” logo.

The keyboard itself is actually pretty thin, but feels really solid. For those wondering about size the keyboard has official dimensions of 32 mm x 430 mm x 149 mm (HxWxD) and weighs in at 960g. A large part of the weight comes from the top part of the keyboard, but I was surprised that the keyboard portion has significant weight to it as well. This should make for a solid, no-flex typing experience.

So as far as keyboard size this keyboard is a full-size keyboard so you have a full compliment of keys as well as a full number pad. You’ll notice a few different Mac symbols on this keyboard, it is because it is compatible with MacOS as well as Windows. The top function row as well as the row above the number pad offer alternate functions that are actually enabled by default, so when you press them they do the alternate command rather than F1, F2, etc. I actually prefer this. You can change the ways this keys work back to normal F1, F2, etc easily in the software.

At the top left of the keyboard you are going to find the creative input dial or “crown” as its called in the software. This dial offers many different functions. First you have a touch-sensitive top surface (so if you lightly tap on the dial), then a click-able middle press (fully pressing down on the dial), and then finally turning or “scrolling” the wheel. On the opposite side there is a small LED indicator that will show battery levels (Green good, Red low).

The keys themselves are not mechanical or anything like that but are designed with a scissor-press mechanism and a membrane switch. The keycaps are very shallow and are designed much like keys you would find on a laptop keyboard. The keycaps are however recessed, which should make moving around the keyboard and hitting the right key much easier.

Looking at the keyboard from the side we again can see just how thin the actual keyboard part is. The keyboard does sit at a slight angle because of the top piece, which again should make typing more comfortable, although there is no adjustment to make the keyboard sit flat or have it raised up even higher for a more extreme angle. There is a single port of the keyboard, which is at the top edge. It is a USB Type-C connection for charging the keyboard, you’ll also find a simple power switch to toggle the keyboard on and off.

Flipping the keyboard over there are a total of five rubber feet that will keep the keyboard in place when you are typing. When I first got this keyboard I thought I could actually pull off the top piece, while it looks like you can, you most definitely cannot.
