Logitech Craft Wireless Keyboard Review

Software
Logitech suggests that you use their Options software with this keyboard. It is very well done and allows you to customize the keyboard. When you install and open the software up you are brought to the “Keyboard” tab which has a full overview of the keyboard. The top function key row keys are highlighted, which means they can be edited and changed to another command or keystroke assignment. Sadly these are the only keys on the keyboard that you can edit.

There is a check box that allows you to use the F1-12 as standard function keys, which we talked about a little earlier in the this review. You can click on “more settings” for a few more options like disabling the backlighting, notifications, and disabled keys.

The next big tab is “Crown” which allows you to change the actions of the creative input dial. You can actually load application specific profiles for the keyboard too. The ones that are available are for Adobe Programs, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Microsoft Office programs. We will show you have these application specific profiles work in just a little bit.

The last tab is “Easy-Switch” where you can see what devices the Craft is paired with. Remember there are three connection buttons so you can have the keyboard setup to be connected to say your laptop, desktop, and even a mobile device.

When it comes to lighting you have full white backlighting. The only customization you have is to turn the brightness up or down, there are no effects or anything like that. The lighting is even and will allows you to see the keys in dark situations. Also one really cool thing is that there are sensors on the keyboard that will illuminate the keys when you hands are above the keyboard, before they even touch the keyboard! While it’s not a big thing it is pretty cool!
