One feature I actually enjoyed in Windows 8 was the Xbox Music streaming service. The was a free ad-supported streaming service for music. Well it looks like Microsoft is pulling the plug on the free service and will restructure it to a paid subscription plan.
Microsoft has stated that, “Effective December 1, 2014, the free Xbox Music streaming feature currently available on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and over the Internet will be discontinued in all countries where it is offered”.
Xbox Music Pass will still be available on Windows PCs, tablets, smartphones, the internet and Xbox. This cloud-based service will still provide free streaming radio as well.
