Mountain Everest Max Gaming Keyboard Review

Lighting, Display Dial, and Display Keys

The per-key RGB lighting on the keyboard is pretty typical. By default the brightness is turned down pretty low, but once you turn it up it looks quite good. There is definitely some color-bleed, but overall the lighting is sufficient.

The display keys on the keyboard are very bright and easy enough to make out / read when looking down on them. As I mentioned in the software section you can easily remap these keys and change what is displayed on them. I think only having four is pretty OK for most users. Serious streamers will likely opt for something like a Stream Deck though.

The Display Dial can actually be quite useful if you plan on using it. It is very much like the Corsair iCUE Nexus in what it can display. The screen is actually quite good too. You simply turn the dial to cycle through the different menus, then press the smaller button next to the dial to go into the menu. To go back you double-press the same smaller button. I feel it would have been more intuitive to have a button built into the dial so you could just press down on it, but the smaller button works.
