MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus 6G OC Graphics Card Review

Final Thoughts
So here we have another GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. The Ventus 6G OC from MSI only has a $10 premium over the $349 MSRP of the RTX 2060. With that you are getting a nice feature-set from MSI. The first one is the factory overclock. The GPU Boost speed of this card is set at 1710 MHz (compared to 1680 MHz reference clocks), which will get you a few more frames in games.

MSI is using their Ventus cooling design which is made up of two cooling fans on top of a aluminum fin stack with four 6mm-thick copper heatpipes, which will make direct contact with the GPU. The dual fan cooling solution uses MSI’s Torx Fan 2.0’s, which use two different types of fan blades. A dispersion fan blade which accelerates the airflow, increasing its effectiveness, and a traditional fan blade that pushes down a steady airflow to the massive heatsink below. This solution works quite well and is not all that loud either, even when gaming.

I was really excited when I saw a full-cover backplate on this card, but upon further inspection this backplate was actually made of plastic rather than metal.

As I said in my review of the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2060 Twin Fan, the RTX 2060 is going to be the card to get for most gamers because of its price and overall performance. This is going to be a card that you’ll be able to game at 1440p at high settings or 1080p with a 144 Hz monitor. On top of that you have NVIDIA DLSS, which if your game supports it will give you even more performance.

You can pick this card up at our favorite online retailer for $359.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus 6G OC Graphics Card a 9 out of 10 score!
