RTX 2060 Ventus 6G OC Overview
Like most GeForce RTX 2060’s the RTX 2060 Ventus 6G OC is not that large of a card. It has official dimensions of 226 x 128 x 41 mm so fitting it inside your system should not be a problem at at. It is slightly longer than the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2060 Twin Fan we recently reviewed.
If you are not familiar with the Ventus design from MSI they have used it on their other 20-series cards. The card is characterized by a black and silver fan shroud, which looks pretty good overall. The dual fan cooling solution uses MSI’s Torx Fan 2.0’s, which use two different types of fan blades. A dispersion fan blade which accelerates the airflow, increasing its effectiveness, and a traditional fan blade that pushes down a steady airflow to the massive heatsink below.
Sitting below these fans is a thick aluminum fin stack, which features four 6mm-thick copper heatpipes. These heatpipes converge at the base of the heatsink and are designed to make direct contact with the CPU. This is a 2-slot card by the way.
On the side of the card which will face-out from your system if you have a case with a window there is the MSI logo as well as “GEFORCE RTX” lettering. There are not lights at all on this card. The card is powered by a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connection.
Flipping over to the back of the card we have a full-cover backplate, which looks quite good. It looks to be brushed metal, but upon further inspection it is actually plastic.
As far as connections go on this card you have three DisplayPort 1.4 and a single HDMI 2.0b. Don’t expect to see many RTX 2060’s with VirtualLink.
