How Big is the MEG Maestro 900R PC Case?

The first thing you notice about the MSI MEG MAESTRO 900R is just how massive it is! This full-tower case measures 695 mm deep, 379 mm wide, and 671 mm tall, so you will definitely want to plan where it is going before starting your build. It also weighs an impressive 33 kg, or roughly 72.75 pounds, before installing any hardware, making it a case you will probably want help moving. The standard model combines a predominantly black finish with gold accents, aluminum panels, and three expansive tempered-glass panels that put the hardware on display from multiple angles. Its angular framework and elevated base give the main enclosure an almost floating appearance, helping distinguish it from a typical rectangular tower. MSI also offers a separate DRACO EPIC Edition with a deep-blue finish and anniversary detailing for those looking for something different. Regardless of the version, this is a substantial showcase case designed to command attention—and a considerable amount of space.

The front of the MEG MAESTRO 900R is dominated by a large tempered-glass panel, giving you a clear view of the hardware inside, while its connections are divided between the top and bottom. The top I/O panel houses the power button, LED control button, combined headphone/microphone jack, four USB Type-A ports rated at 5Gbps, and a USB Type-C port supporting speeds up to 20Gbps. This Type-C connection also supports up to 60W USB Power Delivery when paired with a compatible motherboard, making it convenient for charging devices. Down at the bottom of the case is a separate bank of four USB Type-C ports, each rated at 10Gbps, providing additional connectivity for external storage and other accessories. Having these connections in two locations gives you plenty of options without crowding all nine USB ports into the top panel. The main top I/O panel can actually be moved to the back of the case if you choose to do so.

The top of the case continues the case’s premium styling with a sculpted aluminum cover, featuring angular bends and precisely finished edges that complement the framework below. Rather than covering the entire roof, the aluminum panel leaves part of the mesh ventilation area exposed, allowing warm air to escape while maintaining the case’s distinctive layered appearance. Beneath it is a removable cooling bracket that supports up to four 120 mm fans, three 140 mm fans, or three 160 mm fans. When it comes to radiators the top bracket will support up to 420 mm models, providing plenty of options for an AIO cooler or custom liquid-cooling loop. The top bracket also allows the cooling assembly to sit horizontally or at an angle, giving you additional flexibility when arranging and showing off your hardware.

Looking at the case from the side, the large tempered-glass panel takes center stage, providing an expansive view of the motherboard, graphics card, and cooling hardware. Framing the glass are sculpted aluminum panels along the upper and lower portions of the case, with angled profiles that give the chassis a more distinctive appearance than a conventional rectangular tower. MSI uses substantial 3 mm-thick aluminum decorative panels with precisely machined, diamond-cut edges, adding definition where the surfaces catch the light. The predominantly black finish and gold accents complement the glass without drawing too much attention away from the components inside. The lower aluminum section also helps conceal the supporting structure, reinforcing the floating appearance of the main enclosure. Together, the glass and aluminum give the side of the 900R a clean, architectural look that suits its role as a premium showcase case.

Moving around to the opposite glass-covered side of the MEG MAESTRO 900R, MSI carries over the same combination of expansive tempered glass and sculpted aluminum trim. The large glass panel extends the panoramic presentation around the chassis, while the angular aluminum sections above and below it maintain the case’s distinctive black-and-gold styling. This symmetry complements the centered motherboard layout, giving the enclosure a consistent appearance when viewed from either side. You can also access the removable dust filter from this side, allowing it to slide out for cleaning without having to lift or turn over this exceptionally heavy case. This filter extends the entire length of the case.

The rear of the case features a black metal panel with extensive ventilation, giving this side a more functional appearance while retaining some distinctive styling. Rows of narrow ventilation slots cover much of the surface, with a separate pattern of openings forming MSI’s MEG logo for a subtle branded touch.

The base of the MEG MAESTRO 900R is a major part of what gives this case its distinctive appearance. Rather than resting the main enclosure directly on a conventional set of feet, MSI uses a recessed supporting structure beneath a wider, sculpted lower section, creating the impression that the chassis is floating above your desk. This elevated design also provides clearance beneath the case for the three pre-installed 160 mm bottom intake fans to draw in fresh air.
