MSI has introduced the GeForce RTX 5060 8G INSPIRE ITX, a compact graphics card designed for small form factor (SFF) PCs. This single-fan GPU aims to deliver robust gaming and content creation capabilities in a tiny package, making it ideal for enthusiasts and professionals building in ITX cases.

MSI’s Tiny Powerhouse

MSI’s new GeForce RTX 5060 8G INSPIRE ITX stands out for its remarkably small size, measuring just 145 x 120 x 45 millimeters and weighing 581 grams. Despite its diminutive stature, it packs NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, supporting DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. This makes it suitable for 1080p and 1440p gaming, as well as AI-accelerated tasks.

Key Specifications

  • CUDA Cores: 3,840
  • Boost Clock: 2,497 MHz (2,512 MHz in Extreme Performance mode)
  • Memory: 8GB GDDR7, 128-bit interface, 28 Gbps
  • Power Consumption: 145W, requiring a single 8-pin PCIe power connector
  • Recommended PSU: 550W
  • Dimensions: 145 x 120 x 45 mm
  • Weight: 581 grams

Innovative Cooling Solution

MSI has paid close attention to the cooling of this compact GPU. The card features a Stormforce fan with seven claw-textured blades designed to maximize airflow and minimize noise. Complementing the fan is a copper-core sunflower radiator heatsink, which combines a high-conductivity copper core with an extruded aluminum fin array. A backplate with an airflow vent further aids in expelling hot air, preventing heat buildup in constrained ITX enclosures. The Zero Frozr feature stops the fan during low temperatures for silent operation.

Connectivity and Software Features

The RTX 5060 8G INSPIRE ITX offers versatile connectivity with three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs and one HDMI 2.1b port. These ports support high-resolution, high refresh rate setups, including 4K/480Hz or 8K/120Hz, thanks to Display Stream Compression (DSC).

Users can leverage the MSI Center application for monitoring and optimization, including switching between “Gaming” and “Silent” BIOS modes. For those who enjoy further customization, the card supports voltage and clock adjustments via MSI Afterburner.

Comparison with Other Models

While the INSPIRE ITX is exceptionally compact, MSI also released the RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE OC, a single-fan card measuring 161 x 125 x 42mm. Both models offer similar GPU clocks, with the INSPIRE ITX providing up to 2512 MHz in Extreme Performance mode and the CYCLONE OC reaching up to 2535 MHz. The INSPIRE ITX is slightly smaller, making it the most compact option for ITX builds.

Pricing and Availability

As of now, MSI has not announced official pricing or release dates for the RTX 5060 8G INSPIRE ITX in the U.S. However, early rumors suggest an MSRP of around $300. This new offering expands MSI’s commitment to providing high-performance hardware for the growing small form factor PC market.
