- Processor Updates: The DS925+ and DS1525+ now feature a 2018 AMD Ryzen V1500B processor, a notable upgrade from the AMD Ryzen R1600.
- Connectivity Changes: The DS925+ and DS1525+ replace the eSATA port with USB-C for external storage.
- Memory Increase: The DS725+ sees its memory boosted from 2 GB to 4 GB.

The DiskStation DS225+ is a compact 2-bay NAS specifically designed for small offices and remote teams requiring reliable storage with easy synchronization. It supports up to 40 TB of raw storage using two 20 TB drives. The DS225+ features both a 2.5 GbE port and a 1 GbE RJ-45 port, ensuring flexible and fast network connectivity.
