Mushkin’s New Solid State Drives for 2019

Mushkin, a well-known provider of storage and memory components, is at CES 2019, and we got a chance to take a look at their newest products for 2019. This grouping of drives for 2019 is comprised of both SATA and PCIe, as well as 2.5″ and M.2 form factor units.

First up we have the 2.5″ Source 2 drive, a SATA connected unit available in 120GB, 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB sizes. The Source 2 uses the SMI SM2259XT controller paired up with 96-layer 3D TLC NAND flash for read speeds up to 565MB/s and write speeds of up to 530MB/s.
