New B450 and B365 Motherboards From ASRock

ASRock launched a few new motherboards at CES 2019, and we got to take a look at them, highlighting some of the more interesting options below.

Intel B365 Phantom Gaming 4 Series

ASRock will be initially offering two Phantom Gaming 4 motherboards that feature the Intel B365 chipset. The B365 Phantom Gaming 4 is a standard ATX board, while the B365M Phantom Gaming 4 uses the mATX layout.

Both of these boards feature custom PCB designs that have various cutouts and angled corners, giving them a unique look for your build. ASRock has also added USB 3.1 Gen 2 support to the ATX-sized B365 via an on-board ASMedia controller, and offers both Type-A and Type-C connections. Both the B365 and B365M Phantom Gaming 4 motherboards should be available towards the beginning of February.

AMD B450 Steel Legend Series

Designed to be a more affordable option compared to AMD’s X470 boards, the new B450 Steel Legend motherboards we saw employ a really nice looking black PCB with white and gray digital camouflage accents.

Additional silver accents include multiple heatsinks, as well as the rear I/O panel cover. The Steel Legend series will be first offered in ATX and mATX form factors, each sporting USB 3.1 Gen 2 connectivity. Additional niceties like two RGB headers and a single ARGB header are present, which is quite amazing, considering these boards are expected to retail starting at just $80. Additionally, these motherboards feature Taichi-level components, a step up from other entry-level B450 options. Expect to see these boards available around mid-February.
