Next Generation NVIDIA and AMD GPUs Delayed to Q4 2013

As we have been getting closer and closer to Q2 of this year many of you just like me were waiting to see when both AMD and NVIDIA would be releasing their next generation graphics cards. Pretty much everyone you talk to was saying a Q2 launch for both the Kepler 700 line and the Sea Islands Radeon HD 8000. Sweclockers is reporting that this is not the case. Their report says these cards will only debut in the fourth quarter of the year.

On the AMD side to fill the time gap they could launch the dual-GPU Radeon HD 7990, you know the one that was never released in 2012.

NVIDIA is prepping for their launch of the GeForce Titan, which will be powered by the GK110 chip. Don’t expect that to really fill the gap though, it is too expensive for most consumers.

If this report is true it is going to be a while before we see a new GPU from either AMD or NVIDIA.
