NVIDIA To Officially Launch the RTX 4070 Ti on January 5th

Last week we reported that NVIDIA will officially be rebranding the cancelled RTX 4080 12GB to the RTX 4070 Ti. Now we have official confirmation that the card will be launched January 5th 2023, likely at CES. There are actually a few different dates for this launch. On January 3rd the card will be unveiled, January 4th product reviews will go live, and on January 5th the card will officially launch and be available for sale.

The packaging design for the new card has been leaked. Board partners will using this template to design their boxes.

For those wondering about specifications, it appears NVIDIA is using the same board and configuration we saw on the RTX 4080 12GB. So you are going to get the full AD104 GPU with 7680 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR6X across a 192-bit memory interface and the card should have a 285W board power.

It is likely we are going to see a price change. NVIDIA had set the MSRP of the RTX 4080 12GB to $899, but we expect this new card to be less. Keep in mind the RTX 3070 Ti launched at $599.
