Rockstar Confirms No PC Launch of GTA 6

The official first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 dropped late last night and with it brought a lot of excitement for the highly anticipated game. According to the trailer the game will launch sometime in 2025, but it appears it is going to be a console exclusive. On the official Grand Theft Auto VI landing page it says “Coming 2025 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S” with no mention of PC anywhere.

gta 6 no pc

This is no surprise really as Grand Theft Auto 5 only received a PC port two years after the initial release of the game. Grand Theft Auto 5 was released in September 2013 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation consoles and then got an upgrade for the new console releases to accommodate the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It was only until April of 2015 that PC gamers were able to experience GTA V.

Obviously things were a bit different back in 2013, so we would hope to see GTA 6 come to PC a lot sooner than GTA V did. With so many titles launching at the same time on all platforms it definitely is a let-down that Rockstar won’t be launching GTA 6 on PC at launch. We’ve seen some disastrous PC launches over the years so Rockstar for sure wants to avoid that. The big question is how long will PC gamers have to wait?
