GALAX recently held a big launch event for NVIDIA’s RTX 40 series graphics cards where they showcased new custom designed including their flagship RTX 4090 SG variant, which recently broke some world records. An interesting photo has emerged from the the event, posted by Reddit user TheBloodNinja, which shows an unsuspecting and unreleased GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card.
The photo was meant to be showing a GALAX rep posing with the new RTX 4090 graphics card, but below him in the case we see a box that clearly says “GeForce RTX 4050” on it! As of right now NVIDIA has not announced any other cards besides the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. The box does appear to be quite large for a card that we expect to be pretty small, at least compared to the RTX 4090/4080.
Having gone to these events in the past I can tell you that companies do this, put something out for everyone to see that is unannounced or not released yet. We do expect to see an RTX 4050 eventually, but not until at least 2023, maybe an announcement at CES 2023?
