The Rocket 5 SSD is driven by the Phison PS5026-E26 Max14 controller, coupled with Micron B58R 232-layer 3D NAND flash memory and a DRAM cache based on LPDDR4. It is available in storage capacities of 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB.

While exact performance and durability details for individual capacities are undisclosed, Sabrent notes that the drive can attain sequential read speeds of up to 14 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 12 GB/s, attributed to the Max14um controller’s capabilities. Furthermore, the drive offers support for up to 1.55 million IOPS for 4K random reads and up to 1.8 million IOPS for 4K random writes.
