Previously in June, there was news that Samsung’s flagship PCIe 4.0 SSD, the 980 Pro, will only feature a storage capacity of 1 TB. It turns out that the news is wrong as a listing for 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD was spotted via Scan (UK-based e-commerce store). Currently, the only other PCIe4 based SSD to feature 2 TB storage is Sabrent’s Rocket 4 Plus.

As for the price, it is listed for £443.99, which in Dollars is $530 after taxes. In case you are thinking of buying this for games, then there is a list of cheaper SSDs, but you will have to sacrifice TLC flash and the 7 GB/s data transfer speeds.

Until the Evo is released, The 980 Pro is the only PCIe 4 option provided by Samsung. The technical specifications for the 2TB variant have not been released yet, but the 1TB features a read/write speed of 7000MB/s along with an endurance of 600 TBW.
