SAPPHIRE Announces Radeon RX 6500 XT Polar Elves GPU With White PCB

The prevalence of white PCBs in graphics cards is growing, and it appears that Sapphire is prepared to embrace this unique design trend. The Radeon RX 6500 XT, while not exceptionally new or powerful, marks Sapphire’s entry into this realm. Nonetheless, every venture has its beginnings.

Sapphire has given the card the name “Power Elves,” presumably its official designation. It seems to follow the Mini-ITX form factor and features a single fan. A closer examination reveals the inclusion of the new fan design called “Angular Velocity Fan Blade,” currently utilized in the Radeon RX 7000 PULSE and NITRO series. Moreover, the card showcases a predominantly white color scheme without any visible RGB lighting.

Regrettably, there is a limited amount of information available regarding the card’s specific details. It remains unclear which types of display connectors are included in this particular model. However, considering the power requirements of the RX 6500 XT card, it is reasonable to assume that it utilizes a solitary 8-pin power connector.

One intriguing aspect is Sapphire’s decision to choose the RDNA2 desktop GPU instead of the newer RX 7600 model for this release. The Navi 24 XT card showcases 1024 Stream Processors and 4GB of GDDR6 memory, accompanied by a relatively narrow 64-bit memory bus. These specifications are not commonly seen in graphics cards released in 2023.
