The Steam concurrent player record has been broken again, reaching a record of 24,804,148 users! This comes after the previous record was broken in March as the first wave of stay at home orders and lockdowns were issued. The new driving factor for the increase in users is of course Cyberpunk 2077.
The recently released game recorded over 1 million concurrent users on Steam and has sold over 8 million pre-orders across all platforms. Steam sales of the game account for 50 million USD. So with this release and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive surpassing 1 million concurrent players the current record was broken!
