Logitech has just acquired ASTRO Gaming for $85 Million. This is likely in a bid to increase their gaming headset portfolio. ASTRO Gaming headsets are very popular in the console market and many eSports athletes us the headsets. It is unclear if Logitech will rebrand ASTRO products as Logitech or will keep ASTRO a separate brand.

Gaming Friday: Pittco Iron Storm XIII Lan Party

This past weekend we had the pleasure of attending <a href="">Pittco’s Iron Storm XIII Lan Party</a>!  This 42 hour event hosted about 150 gamers and started April 20 and concluded on April 22nd.  They had official tournaments for Counter-Strike: Source, League of Legends, Starcraft II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Halo Reach and many more.  Besides just the tournaments there was quite a lot of gaming going on as well as other fun.  Read on to see what the event was all about!

Gears of War is one of the biggest franchises to be created during the current (7th) console generation. The first Gears of War launched back in 2006, the second in 2008, and the third in 2011. What started off as a simple war between humans and locusts, has spawned a trilogy of intense third person cover based gameplay. The third installment of the Gears of War series picks up quite some time after the second. Epic has included a video to fill in the time gap between the two games, while also getting any completely new players caught up to speed.
