AMD FX-9000 CPUs Now Selling with Liquid Coolers

Not that long ago AMD announced their FX-9370 and FX-9590 processors. The big thing with these processors was that the FX-9590 featured a turbo boost of 5 GHz. It was the first processor ever to have a stock turbo boost speed that high. Being that both of these chips have high clock speeds their TDP's were quite high as well. Many people who purchased these chips installed them with a good closed-loop watercooler or installed a full water cooling system.

AMD FX-9000 Series Processors to Cost $920 and $576

Last week <a href="">AMD announced</a> their FX-9000 series processors, which included the FX-9590 and FX-9370. These processors made headlines and the FX-9590 was the first ever consumer processor to offer a 5 GHz speed. A couple of days later it was revealed that AMD would only be selling these chips to system integrators, but not that may not be the case as they have popped up for pre-order online.

AMD Won’t Sell the 5 GHz FX-9590 CPU to Consumers

On <a href="" target="_blank">Tuesday</a> AMD made a huge announcement by launching the 5 GHz FX-9590 and 4.7 GHz FX-9370 processors. Of course after the announcement much raving ensued. It looks like anyone wanting to build a new PC with these new processors is out of luck. AMD will only be shipping these processors to system integrators and will not sell them through retail channels.

AMD Unleashes First-Ever 5 GHz Processor

Earlier this month we talking about <a href="">AMD releasing a 5GHz processor</a> and it looks like those rumors were true. Today AMD has unveiled the most powerful member of the AMD FX family of CPUs and the world's first commercially available 5 GHz CPU Processor. The 8-core CPU is the AMD FX-9590.
